Thanks Kevlar.@HopeStillFlies: I won’t publish the IPs unless Pete explicitly tells me to, but I can confirm that FTClover registered with, and until recently used, an IP belonging to an Irish ISP called UPC.
Recently he has started using an IP which appears to be either a VPN or Tor exit node which has also been used by a number of different members. This number should not be used to try and get a geolocation on him.
I am certain that FTClover is in the Republic of Ireland, so let me put the Irish VPN thing to bed once and for all.
Nope, there’s no need for any of that.
I’m serious: THE STREET JUSTICE MENTALITY ENDS NOW or you can all find someone else to moderate this. There will be no publishing of personal data from here on out no matter what who says. The forum hack where all this data was stolen and is now being sold is bad enough, we don’t need to lower ourselves to that level. I’m moderating this to protect FTClover from an angry mob showing up on his door, and arming people with more information to track him by doesn’t help me at all. If you know something important, relevant, or related, PM me but do not publish it.

IMPORTANT:Everyone on this list, find out what BTC/FTC address your payment went to. Hope needs them so she can use the power of an open ledger to do a simple audit and see if his claims are true.

just technical question how you do that thank you

Ok, so i missed this whole topic/thread…
Hi Kevlar. I agree with you, and that was actually what I was trying to do, allay a genuine concern without revealing any more information. Ireland is a big place :)
However, in the interests of getting this resolved, I agree that Kevlar and FTClover and all those actually involved in terms of having paid monies should be given the space to work this out, and I believe that any further discussion should take place within a private framework facilitated by Kevlar.
I trust Kevlar to do whatever is best for all concerned, and I strongly recommend that everyone else do so too.

Get this sorted out guys and move on.
Pitchforks and torches will get you nothing in life aside from more grief and mob mentality.
+1 for Kevlar, and I do agree with the protection of the site and admins. I say that Feathercoin forums should no longer let some one sell stuff like this on the forums, Posts like FTCLovers selling something like scryptcloud mining or anything like this should be removed right away. It’s to easy for people to come to these forums and post scams like this, and then brings drama to our forums.
Unless maybe a trusted member of the community volunteers to escrow the items on sale or something? +1
lets have trusted member volunteers as escrow because it would be sad to close the door to any new project

Hooray for sanity. Emotions were running high. Understandable, but seriously coloring the atmosphere to a darker shade then needed. I was contemplating my resignation, I’d rather lose my handful of BTC then. FTClover working on fixing this somehow means a lot more then me.

First of all I want to assure you the best course for everyone involved is for everyone to just relax a little, and work this out calmly.FTClover has reached out to me, and I’ll be responding in detail with what I think he should do.
In the mean time, I have some good news. I’ve been in touch with a partner of his who built the website. He has voulenteered to refund his portion of the money, which totals at 8.885 BTC.
I’ve started a google document where I will be keeping track of who is owed what. I’ll be publishing that tomorrow.
If you haven’t already, I need you to PM me with the following information:
How much you paid.
The TX ID of your payment.
The Date of the payment.
Where you want the refund sent.We need to be SUPER strict about that TX id. It needs to match the amount you made, and the time you claim to have made it. If you need help finding it, please let me know.
I’ll be putting all this into the google doc tomorrow, so please PM me right away with the above information so I can get this process underway.
In the mean time I’ll be working with FTClover as best I can to make sure this doesn’t have to be any more painful than is absolutely necessary. My goal is to get you all your money back, and have us go our separate ways amicably.
I’m also assembling a document with EVERYONE’s findings in it. So far I have just about everything you could ask for: IP addresses, real name, verified real addresses, alternate accounts on popular forums, screenshots of all the messages he’s written, screen shots of the website in different stages, private chat logs on skype, emails… I mean it’s getting out of hand here how much data I’ve collected.
I will NOT be releasing this to anyone. I will not make it public, and I will not publish it under any circumstances. I will, however, surrender it to the authorities/a retained lawyer if it becomes necessary to take legal action. It’s my firm belief we can avoid that though through mediation and calm discussion, which I hope to carry out privately with FTClover in the next few days.
I’ll keep you all updated with my progress. Please PM me your transaction details if you haven’t.
You sir are a true gent, and a credit to the community. I only hope that one day people are able to repay you in some way for the services you are offering.
+1 Rep and I’ll send over a few FTC for beer and pizza later

Ok so my wallet was on my phone, and it has been lost… I was riding my motorbike and it must have fallen out of the pocket, I have spent days driving up and down the same route in search of the phone with no luck whatsoever…I will try again tomorrow and hopefully I find it before any further action is taken…

I had to read this a few times before I actually could comprehend it. Sorry to those who were scammed and thanks for the laugh FTClover. -

Now I know tempers are running high but I want to call for all members to keep a level head. I hope everyone gets their money back through the legal courts. Dont do anything illegal. I want to point out that if this man is an experienced scamer he could:1. communicate through a VPN based in ireland.
2. find some pictures of some random irish fellow and make a fake facebook page with those pictures.
3. communicate through that fake facebook page with that person’s real address.
4. photoshop receipts etc to that random poor irish fellow’s name and that random fellow wouldnt even know it!
5. be located halfway across the world and we wouldnt even know it!Remember, this could be identity theft as well as wirefraud…
Yup, but if this is the case, why is he still bothering to put effort in posting here? A real thief will disappear into the shadows.
I see this has been said already. Man I need some rest now after reading all this - honestly we should create a entertainment website with Shane Quotes and funny stories. 8)

Ok so I am starting the refunds now, Will take some time, but I will refund what I have now then just need some time to sell some stuff and also to talk with kevlar :)
This will be interesting. if anyone receives any part of a refund please post the amount and details in this thread…
-
I payed through BTC-E. I guess direct refunding won’t work in that case right? I need an own Bitcoin wallet for that.

He received your payment in bitcoins . anyways , FTC got cheaper and you can trade the BTC or the refund for more FTC ! -
so the guy that starts the thread saying its not a scam get the first refund in full … interesting. Would it not be better if he doesn’t have enough to refund everyone to divide what he has into %ages and distribute it accordingly so everyone receives partial refunds constantly until all paid?
I am sure Kevlar or another member of staff would help FTClover crunch the numbers or even moderate the refunds based on the amount he has to issue at the time
in any case 0.18 is a long way off the 24+ btc he received and we dont even know for fact that amount will ever get received yet
