The reason I ask is because I have no idea what the difficulty growth curves for mining these currencies are. 2x/year? 3x? 10x? 100x?

Just doing some quick/cheap math here, based on the advertised hashrate on Alpha Technology’s scrypt ASIC’s, even if the difficulty of mining FTC triples, one would still see a significant enough return on investment to justify mining using their hardware in the next year. Although this is useless if the difficulty increases by more than that, it was a completely random guess.

I’m glad to see I already do this. Writing a PhoneGap app for the disaster that is the Android 2.x JavaScript parser forces one to learn these little tricks.

This is the area to suggest, or preferably, create technical developments.

The main priority is any work on the Wallet and Daemon which provide the settings and functionality of Feathercoin coin.

We have just released Feathercoin-qt 0.8.5, that version was seen as release point which trickled down to Feathercoin from upstream changes. There are so many changes already been made to version 0.9 already, we need almost immediately to start creating porting those to a Feathercoin 0.9 test / discussion version.

There is still lots of flexibility in how to handle further change, particularly in the wish to extend involvement.

The first thing I would suggest, which I still find rewarding, is to register with Github (1) - to follow the software development procedure. I have posted issues and done a little bug fixing and testing pulling patches (2), superb.

Seems a bit overkill. The problem is difficulty traps, not people deciding how to benefit from opportunities. I think we solved the difficulty trap. Also I disagree with the notion that the confirmation rate has to be perfectly the one in the design. That’s meaningless in an economy involving thousands to millions.

Also the more perfection tweaks we pile on, the harder it is for innovators to add new features because they have to make sure they either translate all the features correctly or that they don’t conflict with them.

“Jayne” may be good for avoiding ASICs. But GPUs… that is a bit harder.
The only way to really kill GPUs would be logic. Sure, GPUs have logic cores, but not as good as CPUs.
This could offer a good advantage.

That gives you the hash, from which you can get the raw, from which you can get the decoded.
