      O

my issue is that the latest version seems to run slower than the older version. but this is more likely an issue my end than a problem with the software.

I can scan the Code to retrieve the address

You mean, that the address shows up in the online wallet after you scanned the qr code of the paper wallet?

Then you private key is imported into the online wallet and all should be fine.
If you can see the address in the online wallet, but no coins shown, stop the wallet and start it with the --rescan parameter. It then scans the blockchain for coins belonging to your adresses again

It is impossible to answer that question without access to you computer.

From what you say the explanation is

You “really” installed on C : not D : - you lost the wallet.dat of C: when it crashed.

What you might try? try to recover the C : drive with photorec / testdisk

otherwise Your original wallet.dat of D: (what is the size? what is the date? have you viewed the file contents?) could be copied back to the D : install folder or if you installed to the same directory the coins would appear after a sync.

Do you know anyone who is good at computers?

      Thank you… does this help:
      Status: 0/unconfirmed
      Date: 07/01/2018 15:27
      To: Chris Mac wallet 6sNybMx4SHCKwdLyLKKYVRqZXWGa6oEcFA
      Debit: -40.00 FTC
      Transaction fee: -0.02 FTC
      Net amount: -40.02 FTC
      Transaction ID: ff1bff15dab3a84631cfc2a418edc2ee2500dd9a44f7eaeaf08c4bdc4d5b65a9

Is it possible, that the missing transaction was composed of a high number of small input transactions? In that case the transaction probably was too large to make it into the blockchain.

Try to reset the blockchain in from the wallet’s menu.
This will cause the wallet to scan the whole blockchain again at it will take some time, but hopefully your coins will shop up again.

      @rapala67
before actually printing the offline wallet, the Gui generates the address, private and public key. This takes some time, about 30 secs in my case.
I printed to file and it created a pdf file as expected.

The private keys are encrypted in a different way in the Android App.

While there is a lengthy way to transfer the keys to an Android wallet, it’s easier to create a new address in the Android wallet and transfer the cons to that address.

@lizhi three years ago quoted 7850 @ 40KH/s, 7970 @ 70KH/s on ccminer, so probably near that or less. I have a 5770 in my Mac, and ran it with nsgminer under Windows (bootcamped) I think it was in the 20’s, but don’t quote me on it.

For reference, a three year old Xeon 2695v2 does 56KH/s, and a core i7-4790K does 19KH/s.

You could have a look for debug.log . It’s in the directory your wallet.dat is stored.

You could cut and paste the last page, there might be some information that would help us remote diagnose whats happening.
